☆ Structural features
● Since a stuffing-box sealing structure is adopted, the tube bundle can extend or contract freely in the shell shaft; no thermal stress will be generated for thermal deformation difference between shell walls.
● Compared with a floating-head heat exchanger, it has a simpler structure, easier fabrication and manufacturing, lower consumption of materials and lower manufacturing cost; besides, the tube bundle can be extracted from the shell; the inside of the tubes and the faces between tubes can be easily cleaned and maintained.
Extensively used for gas and liquid heat exchange and cooling of gas; typical applications include hydraulic system; for large-scale automobile manufacturing and ship-building works, it is used as intermediate cooler and aftercooler.
